The man is suspected of having dealt with information about 41 defense facilities. The material was found during a search of the man’s home.
“It’s about compilations of data that make it possible to map military infrastructure of great importance for the nation’s defence,” says chamber prosecutor Mats Ljungqvist in the press release.
According to the prosecutor, it is a serious crime.
“These are serious crimes because the secret information concerns facilities that are of great importance to the nation’s defense,” says chamber prosecutor Mats Ljungqvist.
According to Ljungqvist, three prosecutors at the National Security Unit are currently working on a further number of preliminary investigations against various people where charges can be expected shortly.
