Character becomes level 70 in 200 days, never touches land

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

A pandaren in World of Warcraft has reached level 70 and hasn’t even reached the starting area. There is no boost involved – just a lot of endurance.

In World of Warcraft there are numerous ways to reach the maximum level. Some quest, others play PvP or visit dungeons. But there are always a few players who set themselves very special goals. An example here is “Doubleagent”, who never got past the starting island and has a level 70 neutral pandaren. On a similar level of crazy is Cheatcho. He didn’t stay on the starting island – he never reached his starting island and still got to level 70.

How did Cheatcho do that? Cheatcho has leveled his pandaren “Chica” to level 70 and is still on the ship that leads to the Isle of the Exiled – this is the new starting area introduced with Shadowlands. However, he never completed the quest line there and still reached the maximum level.

This was made possible by account-wide quests, particularly pet battle quests. These are quests that you can accept with any character on the account and then redeem on another character. These quests are repeatable daily, allowing Cheatcho to earn some XP each day, which he then put into Chica.

How much time did that take? Overall, the whole project took almost 200 days, with the section from level 60 to 70 taking a lot of time – the last 10 levels alone took 2 whole months.

The actual expenditure of time in active playing time, on the other hand, is quite small. The 5 pet battle quests together might take 5-6 minutes if you have a character with each of the relevant trainers. So Cheatcho only has to log through the 5 characters each time, quickly end the pet fight and then redeem the quest reward with “Chica”. Therefore, the actual “pure playing time” is significantly less.

So the actual achievement is maintaining this routine for almost 200 days – and being the first person in the world to do so.

Like most players of Cheatcho’s ilk, he’s already looking for new challenges. In the comments on the Reddit post of his success, he came across new ideas – such as getting a caller already exalted with factions without leaving the starting area. Because callers have a mailbox in the starting area, so that you can send them call badges, for example.

What do you think of this achievement? just crazy? An absolute waste of time? Or a cool idea and an impressive success?

WoW just removed a feature you’ve been laughing at for 7 years.
