Chapter 5 Season 1 gameplay trailer shows new skins, weapons and expanded parkour

With a new trailer, Fortnite shows a foretaste of the “Battle Pass” skins in Chapter 5 Season 1. There is a brief look at the map, with a focus on the new skins, weapons and new systems that you will try out.

Which skins await me? In keeping with the server down, the trailer shows you a brief overview of which skins await you in the Battle Pass. In addition, new weapons will be demonstrated, many of which are new. The following skins could be seen:

  • Peter Griffin from Family Guy
  • Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid
  • Underground Jonesy
  • A tiger mercenary
  • An agent with a golden mask
  • A female agent with sunglasses and short green hair
  • A female agent with sunglasses, black hair and a ponytail
  • An agent with a long white coat

    • There are also many styles that players can unlock for their respective skins over the course of the season. The skins were revealed in advance in a leak, but the leak was confirmed again with the new gameplay trailer.

    Weapon mods, new parkour and many new items

    What else happens in the trailer? In the trailer, the story of the 5th chapter is first briefly touched on. Jonesy discovers a hidden message underground that shows his banana buddy “Peely” has been kidnapped. With new weapons and his colleague, he sets out and plunges into the fray of the Battle Royale again.

    The trailer includes new features such as:

  • An advanced parkour system that allows players to even climb walls
  • Weapons are given mods that adapt your weapons to your playing style
  • There will also be a train circling through the Chapter 5 map that you can hijack and search for treasures and items

    • Furthermore, new items such as an emergency shield and a gripper were introduced. The shield blocks your shots and you can use it to rush towards your enemies.

    The gripper, on the other hand, behaves like the one from the collaboration with Attack on Titan. Aim at a point and move, if there is an enemy nearby, you can use a strong melee attack in addition to your momentum to deal damage.

    However, the map has not yet been shown in detail. New locations and structures can be seen in the trailer that are reminiscent of classic British buildings.

    There should be no shortage of cars either, because they are back, in the form of Lamborghinis. There is no known collaboration between Fortnite and the car manufacturer, but the trailer shows many Lambos with the brand name.

    When does Season 1 in Chapter 5 start? We can’t say for sure. So far, many Fortnite fans are waiting for the upcoming live event, which is scheduled to take place today at 8:00 p.m. German time with Eminem. So it’s quite conceivable that on Sunday morning or midday, the servers will bring the new content to you after a server down.
