Fortnite is in the third chapter and in the ongoing Season 4 an oppressive mood is spreading: everything on the map is being swallowed up by chrome and according to the clues “nothing” is approaching. Now there are many indications that Chapter 3 could end in December 2022.
What’s going on in Fortnite? Anyone who has been following the ongoing storytelling in Fortnite will notice the terrible things that are about to happen to you and the island.
Since the fight against the IO was won and all players were planning their peace celebration, a new creature hatched her evil plan in the background to annihilate the Chapter 3 reality – The Harbinger.
It is she who paints your map in chrome and takes everything in turn. But this is just the beginning: clues point to a greater threat soon to come. And this could end Chapter 3 earlier than expected.
The nothing comes and knows no mercy
What speaks for an early end? Anyone who was in Chapter 2 Season 8 and went through Kevin’s dice invasion should still know the dice queen. The ruler and reality destroyer had some items in the Battle Pass that indicated the end of Chapter 2, even before leakers and lore professionals knew about it.
Finally, the unimaginable happened and the map was turned upside down. Then Chapter 3 appeared and with it a new map. Now there are three more items in the Season 4 Battle Pass that indicate a bad disaster.
Item descriptions indicate possible disaster

In the short version, the descriptions could indicate the arrival of the “nothing”. A mysterious and formless force that will consume everything.
It is also interesting to see that in the season 8 cube invasion, the map was also corrupted and Kevin tried to take it. So again, parallels can be seen that show that an end in December would be possible.
According to leakers, the live event is already planned: The leaker GMatrixGames (via. twitter) has been poking around in the Fortnite data and found that there could be a live event in the last update 22.40 of Season 4 Chapter 3.
The scope of this event is not yet known. By that fact, however, one might assume that Epic Games already has something big planned. It remains to be seen how irreparable the state of the Chapter 3 map will be left after the Herald’s corruption.
