Chaotic traffic on Friday – several accidents in the slipstream

SMHI has issued a yellow weather warning for parts of Svealand and Götaland. During Friday morning, sudden icy conditions can strike in connection with rain.

Several traffic accidents have occurred in the county.

– Since half past six last night, we have been to five traffic accidents, said Henrik Dewoon Thorén, officer on duty at the Sörmland coast rescue service at eight o’clock on Friday morning.

Just before two o’clock on the night of Friday, a car collided with a moose on E20 at the height of Kjula in Eskilstuna municipality. No personal injuries should have occurred.

Collided with a tree

Just after half past seven on Friday morning, a passenger car drove off road 591 and collided with a tree at low speed, according to the rescue service Östra Götaland. One person has minor injuries.

Around ten past eight, the emergency services were alerted to the E20 between Eskilstuna and Strängnäs, where a car had driven into the center barrier. At ten to nine, the emergency services were alerted about another car that had driven into the center guardrail on the E20 between Eskilstuna and Strängnäs.

There are no reports of any injuries in any of the cases, according to the emergency services.

At half past nine, a car drove off the road and into the edge of the ditch on road 52 near Bettna in the municipality of Flen.

– One of the two people who traveled in the car is in a bit of pain, says Henrik Dewoon Thorén.
