Two children in Belgium reportedly went to a doctor on Tuesday with symptoms of mpox, Belgian media reports.

A man who is wanted internationally for sexual abuse of a child at a recreational farm in Örebro has been arrested in Belgium, writes Nerikes Allehanda.
The 23-year-old man was arrested in his absence at the beginning of August, but had then managed to flee abroad. Now he will be requested to be extradited to Sweden and after that the plan is to interrogate him and start custody proceedings, prosecutors tell NA.
It was on July 24 that the man is suspected of sexually assaulting a little girl at the leisure center where he worked.

A Swedish businessman who was accused of, among other things, rape has been convicted by a unanimous jury in a court in Hong Kong.
The 36-year-old man is convicted of raping his housekeeper, a woman from Nepal, and threatening to kill her almost two years ago, local media write.
The 36-year-old Swede denied the allegations during the trial, claiming that at the time they had a relationship and that there was consent for sex.
The Swede’s defender has requested that a forensic psychiatric examination be carried out on his client before the court decides the penalty on 11 November.
Court chairman Derek Chan Ching-lung did not agree to release the Swede on bail, but decided that the man should remain in custody and prepare for a “longer” sentence.
A woman in her 30s is suspected of rape and kidnapping in Stockholm.
The crime must have been committed in mid-August, reports say The Express.
According to the woman’s lawyer Ola Bexell, she denies any crime, according to the newspaper.

Employees of the listed Swedish online casino giant Evolution in Georgia have started a hunger strike, reports Svenska Dagbladet Näringsliv.
Higher pay and better working conditions are on the list of demands.
In total, hundreds of Evolution’s nearly 8,000 employees in Georgia are participating in the strike, which was preceded by months of protests by the local union.
The strike is being carried out with demands for higher pay and better working conditions, according to the newspaper.
Citing industry media, the paper states that the average salary in Evolution’s Georgian operations is approximately US$440 per month, but according to union sources in Georgia, executive salaries are included in the average.
According to Evolution’s director of investor relations Carl Linton, the company follows “an established process for handling conflicts in the labor market in Georgia”.
“Evolution has, and continues to, urge both working and striking employees not to participate in activities that risk harming others or themselves,” he writes in a comment to the newspaper.

The first case of the new viral variant of mpox has been confirmed in Thailand.
The patient who tested positive is a European man who arrived in Bangkok from Africa last week, Bloomberg reports.
The Mpox virus has spread rapidly in Africa, including in countries such as Congo-Kinshasa, Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya and Uganda.
Last week, the first case of the virus was confirmed in Sweden.

Politician Björn Molin has died, the party announces. Molin was a Member of Parliament for the then People’s Party 1971–1986 and was Minister of Trade in the central government in the early 1980s.
When he left politics, he became governor of Halland.
Björn Molin was 92 years old.
