Chaos in Europe Long queues formed Everyone is waiting for

The personnel working in the ground services of airline companies in France decided to strike between 30 June and 1 July. Thereupon, the General Directorate of Civil Aviation asked airlines to reduce flights by 17 percent. The strike prompted Charles de Gaulle and Roissy airports in Paris to cancel some flights. While 10 percent of flights to and from Charles de Gaulle Airport were cancelled, 2 of the 4 runways remained closed between 07:00 and 14:00 local time. It was learned that the country’s flag carrier airline Air France canceled 62 flights.

CAOS AT AIRPORTS: LONG QUEUES

Long queues formed at airports as ground services personnel went on strike. Passengers had to wait in line for hours for flight operations. A warning was issued that flights might be disrupted due to the strike.

EXPECTED FOR THE RESULT FROM THE MEETINGS

Negotiations between a Paris-based international airport operator, Aeroports de Paris, and workers’ representatives are ongoing, but no agreement has been reached so far.
