In April, a small change of calendar will be made by CAF for the payment of social benefits.
It is a payment which is usually adjusted like music paper. On the 5th of each month, the Family Allowance Fund (CAF) pays money to 13 million French people in order to compensate for the lack of employment (RSA), to help them pay their accommodation (APL), to meet expenses for children (paje, family allowances), or to complete the salary (activity bonus).
This transfer, scheduled on the same date, allows beneficiaries to manage their budget as best as possible. But in April, there will be an exception. And it will not be bad news. If the day is always fixed, it may happen that it varies depending on the calendar. This will be the case in a few days.
The calendar provides that the 5 falls on a Saturday. Consequently, social benefits will be paid on Friday, April 4. Indeed, the CAF does not proceed to the transfers on Saturdays, or Sunday. And in order not to damage the beneficiaries, she prefers to send funds earlier.
Be careful however: as every month, money will be able to arrive the same day, the next day … or that the following Tuesday, at the latest, on the accounts of the beneficiaries. “The effective payment on your account varies according to your banking establishment. Whatever the date of payment, you will therefore have to wait between 1 to 3 days before seeing the amount appear on your account” indicates the CAF.
However, it should be noted that transfers are generally never credited on Monday, most banks being closed. The money will therefore arrive between Friday 4 and Tuesday, April 8.
Since the beginning of the year, this is the first time that this situation has happened. It will take place again in July, because the 5 will also fall on a Saturday. On the other hand, in October, it will be necessary to wait a little more. The payments will only be carried out on Monday 6 because the 5th will therefore be on a Sunday.
