In Call of Duty Warzone 2, the ping for each player is neutral and therefore white when logging in for the first time. However, to make your markers stand out on the map, we’ll show you a setting that allows you to change the ping color.
What is the ping? The ping is an important feature in Warzone 2 and DMZ mode. You can use it to mark places, vehicles or orders and thus give instructions to your team without direct communication. Therefore it is important that the color stands out from the map.
When you log into Warzone 2 for the first time, you will quickly notice that your ping is white in color. This is counterproductive as it doesn’t stand out well from the other icons and colors on the map. We’ll show you a setting that you can use to quickly fix the problem.
Here’s how you can change the ping color: To change your ping color you need to start as follows:
Why isn’t my color changing? The system behind it is a bit opaque and at first glance you won’t notice any differences. The ping has changed, but only when you’re looking at your terrain in first person. The ping color on your map will remain white. It is not known whether this is intentional or whether this is a bug.
If more information about this becomes known, we will update our article and feed it with news. Until then, this is the only way to change the ping color.
