Change of power awaits in Jokkmokk – S backs by 11 percent

Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

The municipal election result was a real cold shower for the Social Democrats in Jokkmokk, who received 28.8 percent, a decrease of 11 percent.

And then it is not enough that the partner left party went up by one percent.

“We slow down into the future”

Framtid in Jokkmokk, the Green Party, the Moderates and the Sami have already declared themselves the election winners and a new government is about to be formed in the municipality.

SVT has contacted municipal councilor Robert Bernhardsson (S), but he did not want to comment on the election results.

However, the party’s local chairman Sven Holmqvist wanted it.

– It’s not so much fun to suffer a loss like this, but you never get a gold medal for trying to keep control of the economy we have. We have the money we have and we have to slow down into the future in many ways. It’s a bit like that, says Sven Holmqvist.

“The opposition is bigger”

During the next month, the Social Democrats will now analyze the election results and come to conclusions about why it turned out the way it did.

And at the same time, the party must hold talks with the other parties about the political future.

– The opposition that is today is bigger than what we can get together after the election, but we will see which partners we can get. It depends to a certain extent on which questions will be relevant, says Sven Holmqvist.

“No message to give”

Roland Boman, group leader of Framtid in Jokkmokk, can become a new municipal councilor because his party is the largest of the opposition parties with almost 20 percent of the vote.

– Today I don’t even want to discuss it. We are four parties of fairly equal size and we have to talk to each other. Right now there is no announcement to make, he says.
