Kadri stated that they ordered the removal of content praising the deposed Assad regime from the curriculum and said, “We used images of the revolution flag instead of the regime flag in all textbooks.” he said.
Minister of Education Kadri noted that the curriculum will remain in its current form until the necessary arrangements are made and said, “The announced changes are only related to the correction of some misinformation used by the Assad regime in the Islamic Education curriculum. For example, instead of misinterpreting some Qur’anic verses, they are correct as stated in the tafsir books at all education levels.” “We took their statements as basis.” he said.
