The romantic cannibal film starring the 26-year-old superstar was due to premiere at the Space Cinema Odeon in Milan when local police deemed the large numbers of Chalamet fans a security risk and decided to cancel the event, reports Variety.
“Bones and all” had its premiere in September at the Venice Film Festival, and even there a minor uproar erupted when “Call me by your name” star Chalamet made his entrance. There, however, they were better prepared for the onslaught than in Milan.
In “Bones and all”, Chalamet plays the lawless daily driver Lee who, together with Maren (Taylor Russell), sets out on a road trip through the 1980s USA.
The film will have its Swedish premiere on November 25.
