    The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) ended on Sunday January 8 in Las Vegas after highlighting innovations and high-tech gadgets in various and varied fields. If mobility and screens are among the most coveted sectors, the beauty sector is not to be outdone with innovations articulated around personalization and inclusivity. Here are three that are sure to change your beauty routine.

    Tailor-made care at home

    Skincare has been booming since the start of the pandemic, with an emphasis on personalization and accessibility. The goal? Allow as many people as possible to pamper their skin at home by meeting specific needs. Something made possible thanks to artificial intelligence which has been redrawing the contours of beauty for several months. Witness the Cosmechip device from the South Korean group Amorepacific, which allows you to concoct fully personalized care at home using a little water and active chips (Active-Chip) containing ingredients adapted to each skin problem. All in a single gesture since it suffices to insert said chip into the device for the ingredients to mix with water to form a treatment ready to be applied to the skin. Beyond personalization, the device makes it possible to obtain fresh – and therefore effective – care without fear of exceeding the expiry date of each product.

    A smart makeup applicator

    Imagine an applicator that can replicate the movements of a makeup routine to help those who can’t put on lipstick or mascara. This is what L’Oréal offers with HAPTA, an intelligent and portable applicator intended for people with reduced arm or hand mobility. Equipped with a 360-degree rotating magnetic attachment and offering 180-degree flexibility, the device stands out for its ability to imitate different gestures of a beauty routine via customizable accessories. This can range from “packaging handling” to “precise application [d’un] product” such as mascara or lipstick, for example, specifies L’Oréal. Currently under development, the applicator will be launched by one of the group’s brands, Lancôme, in the course of 2023.

    Shoes… without bad odors

    Because beauty doesn’t stop at make-up and skincare, LG has innovated with the ‘LG Styler ShoeCare’, which this time focuses on feet, and more specifically on shoes. Shoes addicts, this kind of wardrobe – or shoe box – is necessarily made for you, since it is able in record time – around thirty minutes all the same – to absorb the humidity of your shoes, and even more to refresh them to remove bad smells. An innovation which, unlike the two previous ones, is undoubtedly a gadget for some, but should delight collectors (more and more numerous) who are passionate about luxury sneakers. Already presented at IFA 2022, last September, this anti-odor machine keeps your little feet cool while taking care of your shoes, whatever they are.
