The first edition of Miss Amazigh de France 2023 took place on Saturday February 4 at the George-Brassens center in Vigneaux-sur-Seine, in the Paris suburbs. Twenty young women were selected to participate and parade in this competition organized by the Amazigh association Azul Fellawen.

It was to the rhythm of Amazigh music that the twenty candidates paraded before a jury made up of seven members, including singer Djura Lacroix and actress Lamia Mahyout.
The lucky winner is a 27-year-old Algerian: Houriya Liza Kheloul. She was crowned under the dinghies: “ I did not expect to be a winner even if we are still aiming for first place. But I was very surprised and very, very happy, my family was happy, and my whole village in Algeria supported me. They were super happy. So I’m proud. And I also congratulate all the other candidates, those who won and those who lost. For me, they were all on top, all beautiful, they all deserved first place. »
The chosen one is a technician in medically assisted procreation: she helps infertile couples to have children. She apprehends her new mission. ” I will try to organize myself in relation to my work. Also because I have to be away from time to time. It won’t be easy at all, but well, I already have to recover from my emotions, in addition, I wear the crown for a year and I have to assume my role as Amazigh ambassador of France. »
