CDP RETI 2023 total dividend of 513 million euros

(Finance) – The Board of Directors of CDP NETWORKS (CDP Group) has approved the draft financial statements and consolidated financial statements as at 31 December 2023. The total assets, equal to 5.3 billion euros, are mainly represented by investments in Terna, Snam And Italgas (valued at acquisition cost and equal to 5 billion euros). With reference to liabilities, we note debts for long-term financing (including the current portion) equal to 1.7 billion euros (1.4 billion at the end of 2022) and net assets equal to 3.6 billion euros.
THE dividends they amount to 553 million euros, an increase compared to 2022 (+6%) due to the positive effects deriving from the increase in dividends (in terms of dividends per share) of investee companies. Net profit stood at 513 million euros, up (+2%) compared to 2022 mainly due to the higher accrued dividends, only partially absorbed by a greater impact of financial management.

The total consolidated assets, equal to 74 billion euros (increasing compared to 2022), is mainly attributable to property, plant and machinery for 40.9 billion euros. Net assets are 18.9 billion euros (of which 5.0 billion euros pertaining to CDP RETI). Consolidated net profit is equal to 2.2 billion euros, up 24% compared to 2022. The net result attributable to CDP RETI shareholders is equal to 631 million euros.

The Board of Directors has resolved to propose to the Shareholders’ Meeting – which will be convened for 13 and 23 May 2024 in first and second call respectively – the approval of a overall ordinary dividend for the 2023 financial year, gross of any legal withholdings, equal to 512,537,221.62 euros (3,173.33 euros per share), of which 343,042,814.88 euros (2,123.92 euros per share) already distributed as an interim dividend in November 2023. Based on the proposal of the Board of Directors, the balance of the 2023 dividend, equal to approximately 169 million euros (1,049.41 euros per share), will be paid by 31 May 2024.

CDP RETI is a investment vehicle participated by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (59.1%), State Grid Europe, State Grid Corporation of China group (35%), and a group of Italian institutional investors (5.9%). The mission of CDP RETI is participation management in Snam (31.35% at 31 December 2023), Terna (29.85% at 31 December 2023) and Italgas (25.99% at 31 December 2023).
