Jonas Lindfelt was out on an ordinary fishing trip, but the day was to be anything but ordinary. His catch? A 4.5 kilo pike, and the bait? A dildo.

Just north of Vaasa, in Nedervetil, Finland, Jonas got his giant catch. After trying several moves without success, he decided to try something different – a dildo as bait.
– It is required that there is also a hook in it, explains Jonas in Sverigesvepet, which made an international outlook.
A trend in social media
Jonas is not alone in experimenting with unusual fishing lures. Several fishermen have tested this, if somewhat unconventional, method – which has become a trend in social media.
– I saw a video online and thought I had to try it. And it went well, says Jonas.

Does color matter?
– Yes, since the water is dark, it is better with a lighter color so that it can be seen better.
Jonas plans to continue using the dildo as bait, and aims for even bigger catches in the future.
– I want to buy a bigger one, to catch an even bigger pike. The bigger, the better, he concludes.
