Cattolica SP raises its rating to A with a positive

(Finance) – Standard & Poor’s raised the rating of Cattolica Assicurazioni from A- to A with positive outlook. It also raised the rating of Cattolica’s bond issues from BBB to BBB +.

The rating upgrade – explains a note “is a direct consequence of the fact that now Cattolica has become a core part of the Group General. Furthermore, the integration is proceeding rapidly and could accelerate also following the full ownership of Cattolica by Generali “.

The agency declares that “it could raise Cattolica’s rating in the event of an upgrade of Italy’s rating and in the event that the evaluation of the Generali Group’s creditworthiness is not weakened”
