Born May 8, 1951, Catherine Laborde was the daughter of an English teacher and a Spanish seamstress, Maria Del Pilar. She has two sisters, Françoise, who became a journalist, and Geneviève less media. Laborde girls grow up in Bordeaux and were partially educated in the United States in the 1960s due to numerous trips made across the Atlantic with their parents. After the bac, Catherine Laborde obtained an English license. In parallel, she took courses at the Conservatoire d’Art Dramatique de Bordeaux, in order to become an actress.
