Eight-year-old Catalina Cederqvist saved her hair in order to donate it to cancer patients. Together with their father Gustavo, they have now cut off their hair and donated it to create wigs.
– I want to help children who don’t have hair, says Catalina in Efter fem.
For two years, father and daughter have let their hair grow. It was Catalina Cederqvist who challenged her father Gustavo that they should let their hair grow together because, something that Skaraborgs Allehanda was the first to report on. When the hair was long enough, they would cut it off and donate it to wig makers to create wigs for cancer patients. In After five, Catalina tells of seeing a child without hair and reacting immediately.
– I can donate to those who have cancer, says Catalina Cederqvist in Efter fem and continues
– I want to help children who don’t have hair.
“Super proud as a parent”
That Catalina succeeded in persuading her father to buy into the idea is seen as an achievement, according to father Gustavo. He normally shaves off his hair to keep it short, but when your daughter comes up with such an endearing idea, it’s hard to say no.
– You are super proud as a parent, she has a super big heart, says father Gustavo Cederqvist.

In order for the hair to be used to make wigs, it needs to be a certain length and just a few weeks ago it was high time to cut off the hair. Now they have donated their hard work to the organization Little Princess Trust, which is mainly aimed at children and young people who receive the wigs for free, which has resulted in them each receiving a thank you card for their contribution.
