According to the director, he has been in contact with Puigdemont.

Puigdemont has been under an arrest warrant in Spain and has been living in self-imposed exile since 2017. He fled Spain after Catalonia’s bid for independence failed that year.
The Catalan police have said they are looking for him and will arrest him when they find him.
