casting trailer everything you need to know about the TF1

It was during an ad break during halftime of the Euro 2024 semi-final between France and Spain that TF1 decided to unveil for the first time the trailer for Cat’s Eyes, the series that the channel produced and which will be broadcast from next fall. A major event since this adaptation on the small screen is one of the cartoons that rocked an entire generation that has now reached forty. After Nicky Larson / City Larson, Tsukasa Hôjô has therefore accepted and trusted France to bring his work to life in live-action and featuring actresses from our country. Tamara Chamade, known as Tam, will be played by the sparkling Camille Lou (we are fans of hers), while her sisters Sylia and Alexia are played on screen by Constance Labbé and Claire Romain.

As for Quentin, the slightly clumsy inspector will be played by MB14, a singer who made his mark on the talent show The Voice, while Gilbert Melki will take on the role of the Chief of Police. Carole Bouquet has been announced in the cast, but we haven’t seen her yet, but there’s a good chance she’ll play the partner of the Police Director. On the other hand, we can see in the first trailer that Elodie Fontan has inherited the role of the antagonist, who will try to do everything to thwart the plans of our three thieves. The story will remain more or less the same, but with a few liberties, our Three sisters seek to avenge the death of their father who died 12 years earlier in a fire at his art gallery. They will take advantage of this to recover a painting that belonged to their father and which resurfaced during a prestigious exhibition at the Eiffel Tower. It is there that they realize that the fire was probably criminal. The series will consist of 8 episodes of 52 minutes and it has been rdirected by Alexandre Laurent, known for “Le bazar de la charité” and “Les combattantes”.

On social networks, opinions are quite divided, even if the trend is towards indignation and mockery. For some, the fact that it is a TF1 production does not bode well, others believe that the very French approach in the proposal completely distorts the work. Fortunately, some comments are more measured and point out that Philippe Lacheau created a surprise in 2018 with the adaptation of his Nicky Larson version Club Dorothée. So we are not immune to a good surprise…
