Frankly, I’m not surprised. I know people who loved Venom 2… ?

The public is there to defend the interests of Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige, who however recently admitted that there had been far too many MCU-related series on Disney + and that he was going to slow down the pace. We would also like that in terms of post-production, Marvel could once again flirt with visual quality, leaving the technicians to have more time to achieve all the visual effects. As for the press/viewer gap, it’s fairly standard, even if some point out that review bombing exists both negatively and positively, the viewer ratings for Asterix & Obelix The Middle Empire are recent proof of this, with 55% of accounts created just after the release of the film, accounts that had never given ratings to a film before that of Guillaume Canet…
In France, on the other hand, viewers are much more happy, since by going to Allociné, we see that the opinion of the general public is rated 2.7/5, or roughly the same score obtained via the press which displays an average of 2.4/10. The French admit non-existent stakes, poor digital effects and above all a MODOK which makes the film look ridiculous. On the other hand, everyone agrees that Jonathan Majors is convincing in Kang, but that the new antagonist is disappointing in his treatment.
