Cast of Mortal Kombat 2 movie announced. A new casting has revealed the actors who will give life to Shao Kahn, Quan Chi, Queen Sindel and Jerrod.

The sequel to New Line’s 2021 live-action Mortal Kombat movie will feature a strong Outworld and Netherrealm presence, with Shao Kahn, Jerrod, Sindel, and Quan Chi confirmed for director Simon McQuoid’s sequel. With promising casting news, the filmmakers were looking for a man of the right size, menacing, and absolutely torn to portray the movie’s villain, Shao Kahn. And they seem to have found what they were looking for.

The actors of the Mortal Kombat 2 movie seem to be compatible with the game

According to Deadline’s report, bodybuilder Martyn Ford, who has previously appeared in movies such as F9, will play the iconic villain Shao Kahn.

Damon Herriman, best known for his roles as Dewey Crowe in Justified and Charles Manson in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, will play the less iconic villain, Quan Chi. Ana Thu Nguyen, who has only a handful of credits in smaller films, will play Queen Sindel.

Also, Desmond Chiam, who played Dovich in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, will appear as King Jerrod. While the other newly announced characters are familiar to most fans of Mortal Kombat games, the character of Jerrod is a more obscure character than they are. He is mentioned in the history of the series only as Sindel’s husband as well as Kitana’s father.

Previously announced cast members include Karl Urban as Johnny Cage, Adeline Rudolph as Kitana, and Tati Gabriele as Jade. Returning cast from the previous movie include Lewis Tan as Cole Young, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Joe Taslim as Sub-Zero, Hiroyuki Sanada as Scorpion, and a few others. Yes, I’m cutting it off here because I might get hung up on readers if I go on any further.

The previous film was directed by Simon McQuoid. In this movie, he returns to do the same job. The script was written by Jeremy Slater, who is known for his work on the live-action films Fantastic Four and Death Note, as well as The Umbrella Academy and Moon Knight.
