The sci-fi hit The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes will soon provide a prequel to the Hunger Games movies. In addition to a first glimpse, large parts of the casting are certain. Now five new cast have been announced, who, as tributes and mentors, come close to the heroine Lucy Gray Baird (Rachel Zegler) as the new Jennifer Lawrence. According to the Deadline report, there are five new cast members:

  • Jerome Lance plays marcus, a tribute from District 2

  • Ashley Liao (Fuller House) plays Clemensia Dovecote, Mentor to a District 11 tribute

  • Mackenzie Lansing (Mare of Easttown) plays coral, a tribute from District 4

  • Knox Gibson plays bobbin, a tribute from District 8

  • Aamer Husain (Hudson & Rex) plays Felix Ravinstill, Mentor a tribute from District 11

    The new film will take place years before the previous saga and the development of the later meanies Coriolanus Snow (Tom Blyth) and his tribute protégé Baird. Like the other films, Francis Lawrence is in the director’s chair.
