Cassa di Risparmio di Orvieto half year profit rises to 304

(Finance) – The Savings Bank of Orvietobelonging to the Mediocredito Centrale Banking Group, closed the first half of 2023 with growth of 31.3% inNet income to 3.04 million euros (2.32 million euros as at 30 June 2022). Furthermore, it recorded an increase (+10.8%) of intermediation margin (€25.92 million vs. €23.39 million at 30 June 2022), thanks to the increase in volumes and market interest rates.

The growth of jobs to customers is equal to 4.5%, from 1.12 billion euros as at 31 December 2022 to 1.17 billion euros as at 30 June 2023, thanks to the growing commercial drive in support of the real economy (the disbursements of loans to medium/long-term to households and small and medium-sized enterprises amounted to 80.6 million euros, an increase of 11.9% compared to the first half of 2022).

There direct collection from customers amounted to 1.08 billion euro as at 30 June 2023 (vs 1.10 billion as at 31 December 2022, -1.24%). The component live collection, on the other hand, stands at 525.51 million euros, recording a growth of 3.6% compared to the figure at the end of 2022 (507.49 million euros).

The percentage incidence of gross non-performing loans with respect to total gross loans (gross NPLs ratio) stands at 8.44%, a further decrease compared to 9.27% ​​at the end of 2022. Similarly, the indicator decreases to net of value adjustments (Net NPL ratio) equal to 2.98 (3.45% as at 31 December 2022). Further growing, moreover, the degree of coverage total non-performing loans which went from 65.15% in December 2022 to 66.83% as at 30 June 2023.

They also strengthen i capital strength coefficients (CET1/Tier1 ratio and Total Capital ratio) which amount to 12.79% (12.63% as at 31 December 2022), well above the minimum regulatory thresholds.
