UTRECHT – The cashless Aldi on Lange Viestraat in Utrecht closes its doors on Thursday. The store opened about 2.5 years ago and was equipped with hundreds of cameras and scales that kept an eye on what customers put in their basket. Aldi wanted to investigate what “the best possible options are to make shopping as easy as possible”.
