Sweden has landed at home on Swedish soil again.
Now Caroline Seger vents her great anger after the WC.
– It’s terrible, it’s unacceptable of course, she tells Sportbladet.
The World Cup ended with a real disgrace on Sunday. Instead of paying tribute to the Spanish players who wrote history and won the nation’s very first World Cup gold on the women’s side, the aftermath has come to be about something completely different.
The WC scandal
Namely what the Spanish football pamp Luis Rubiales dealt with. During the awards ceremony where the World Cup gold medals were to be handed out, the Spaniard was present as the president of the country’s football association.

But Rubiales behaved most inappropriately and kissed several players on the mouth and is said to have patted some of the golden heroes on the bottom. Anger of victory
Sweden’s team captain Caroline Victory vented his great anger at the inappropriateness of what happened.
– It’s terrible, it’s unacceptable of course. I don’t understand that it can happen and to me it feels very strange. I want the whole world to react and I want something to happen. Because there are obviously problems in the Spanish federation, says Seger in pure anger to Sportbladet.

Spanish player Jennifer Hermoso was subjected to a forced kiss on the mouth and has told that “it was not nice”. On Monday, Rubiales was forced to apologize after strong pressure from top Spanish politicians.
– I have to regret what happened between a player and me, says Rubiales in a video that several media have seen.
– It was a moment with great emotions and without any ill intent. What happened happened in a very spontaneous way.

Luis Rubiales is already controversial as confederation chairman in Spain and has previously been investigated for corruption. In addition, he supports Jorge Vilda as national team captain, despite national team players openly criticizing and turning against the coach.
