Carolina Wikström’s big goal this season is the marathon in Valencia, Spain in early December. As a warm-up, she competed in the half-marathon in the same city today.
Then she struck with a real hit. Wikström finished ninth in a time of 1:09:39. The time makes her second in Sweden all time. Only Sara Lahti has run faster over the distance.
The time is over a minute faster than her previous personal best of 1:10:56 from the World Half Marathon Championships in Riga three weeks ago.
