Carolina Klüft is one of Swedish sports’ greatest heroes.
But when she gets to choose herself, there is a given favorite.
With three fantastic words, she pays tribute to Armand Duplantis in the best possible way.
During the early 2000s hit Carolina Klüft thoroughly before the eyes of the world. Already as a junior, she won JVM gold in 2000 and then she completely took over the big stage.
Klüft’s career
As a heptathlete, she won everything that can be won in athletics and also the hearts of the Swedish people forever. She became the spreader of joy with a winner’s skull like few others and won Olympic gold, four WC gold, four EC gold and a whopping 20 SC gold in the disciplines of all-around, distance, sprint, high jump, relay and hurdles.

After the active career, Klüft has remained in sports and we have seen her several times as a TV expert and presenter at major championships. In addition, she is very active with the organization “Generation Pep”, which aims to help children and young people move more.

Life today
Today, she is very content with life and everyday life, as well as the fond memories from her career that still live on.
– For me, it has gone very well. I haven’t felt bad. I have so many great memories from athletics. I have been able to step into packed arenas, been praised in the square in Växjö in front of 10,000 people and I have been able to sing with Carola. I am so grateful for everything. Now I want to experience new feelings, new experiences, new challenges, says “Carro” in an interview with SportExpressen.

Carolina Klüft is considered one of Sweden’s very best track and field athletes of all time, and her medal haul is clear proof of that. She feels “honored and proud” about it, but then has her own favorite when it comes to Sweden’s best athletes.

The newly 40-year-old points out the pole vault star Armand Duplantis like the best she’s seen. She pays tribute to “Mondo” with three fantastic words that say everything about the Swedish world star.
– I am very impressed by Duplantis. He has everything. He is technically skilled, physically strong, mentally strong, humble and nice. He is insanely good and also has many good years ahead of him, admits Klüft in the interview.
Armand Duplantis is starting to approach Carolina Klüft’s impressive medal haul and has so far won one Olympic gold, two World Cup golds and three European Championship golds.
