Carolina Gynning and Carina Berg explore sex in the new TV series “Better Sex”. The menu is mostly laughter and humor but during a recording day, when Gynning would test Japanese bondage she became unexpectedly emotional.
– I broke down, she says in after five.
Carolina Gynning and Carina Berg deep dive into the sex world in six episodes of a new TV series. And in the usual order it is done with a generous dose of humor but which is also mixed with seriousness. The purpose is to both maintain and teach.
I think you will look and mostly laugh but I also think you will learn a little, says Carina Berg in after five.
Gynning: “I broke down”
One of the episodes is about Shibari, an old Japanese bondage tradition where people are tied with ropes according to technicians who go back thousands of years. When Carolina Gynning was to test this, the experience was shaking.
I never stop and meet myself, I run all the time. So getting tied in one place was very nasty, she says.
I had to meet myself. If you do therapy, it may take ten times before you meet yourself, here it was ten minutes, Gynning continues.
The friend and colleague Carina Berg agree.
We have laughed extremely much when we recorded but it actually became the opposite, she says.
From bondage to researchers
The exploration of sex continues in six episodes and extends from Japanese Bond Day to the University of Maastricht where a professor researched on ignition patterns for 12 years.
It’s so exciting. These are people who really dive in this, concludes Carina Berg.
Ignition patterns are what it sounds like, a pattern of what we humans think is sexually appealing.
