The news of the agreement was a blow to Valtteri Bottas, who still does not have a team place for next season.
Formula 1 team Williams Racing told on Monday, that Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz joins the team for next season on a two-year contract.
Sainz, who is fifth in this season’s World Championship, replaces in the traditional team by Logan Sargeant. His teammate next season will be driven by Williams Alexander Albon.
Sainz is leaving Ferrari because the Italian team secured the seven-time world champion for next season Lewis Hamilton.
– I am very happy to announce that I will be moving to Williams from the 2025 season. “It’s no secret that the driver market has been very complicated for many reasons and it took time to announce my decision,” Sainz said.

Williams’ last few seasons have been low-key. The team has collected only four World Championship points this season. Behind is only Sauber, which has no points.
