F1 drivers have been the victims of several watch thefts recently. At least watches have been taken from Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris.

Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz the eventful F1 weekend in Italy continued after Sunday’s Monza race, when two men stole his fancy luxury watch from his wrist in the evening in Milan, near the Armani luxury hotel. According to media reports the watch in question is worth more than half a million euros.

Sainz was not left to mourn, but chased the thieves with passers-by who happened to be there and got his watch back. Police arrested the thieves soon after, and Sainz was taken back to the hotel.

Sainz drove his best position of the season at Monza and was third. He started the race from pole, but eventually had to succumb to Red Bull’s aggressive Max Verstappen on the 15th lap. At the end, Sainz fought closely with his teammate Leclerc for third place and managed to keep the Monaco behind him.

– I had to try. I gave everything to be able to win and keep the Red Bulls behind me. I finally made it to the podium and managed to hold them off for quite a while, Sainz said.

Sainz described the race as his best performance of the year.

– I felt that this weekend I was ready from the beginning. The car felt good, especially in one-lap squeeze. I really felt at home and was able to put in some hard laps on Saturday and grab the pole.

The Red Bulls have won all races of the season under the leadership of Verstappen. The team leads the Manufacturers’ World Series by far. It has 583 points, Mercedes 273 and Ferrari 228. Aston Martin has 217 points.
