A man employed in home care is sentenced to six years and six months in prison for raping an elderly woman at a shelter in Luleå. He is also convicted of aggravated theft.
– We succeeded in punching holes in the defendant’s story and proving that he has done exactly what I accused him of. He denied the rape, but through results from the National Forensic Center we were able to prove that the man’s DNA was on the woman, says prosecutor Kristin Andersson to NSD.
The man, who is 25 years old, committed the crimes by getting into the woman’s apartment using a key tag that he had access to in the service.
