It was during a performance at Drai’s Beach Club in Las Vegas last Saturday that American rapper Cardi B had enough. In a video clip that is spreading on social media, you can see how the artist has a drink thrown at her by a person standing at the edge of the stage, after which she throws her microphone back at the audience in shock and outrage.
In the clip, you then see how several security guards flock to the person in the crowd.
The rapper also allegedly threw his microphone at a DJ during a set at Drai’s Nightclub on Friday night after he interrupted one of her songs too early, reports CNN.
Latest in the series of events
The incident in Las Vegas this weekend is just the latest in a string of occasions where global artists have had objects thrown at them during their concerts – Harry Styles and Drake being some of them.
Earlier this summer, a bag of human ashes was also thrown onto the stage when Pink performed in London, and in June, Bebe Rexha was injured in the face when a person threw her phone onto the stage during her gig in Manhattan, New York.
The person who threw the phone, 27-year-old Nicolas Malvagna from New Jersey, was later charged with, among other things, assault and molestation, reports the BBC.
