12 people, including 1 Georgian citizen, died in Gudauri, Georgia’s largest ski resort. Georgian police noted that the dead bodies of 12 people were found in the sleeping area on the upper floor of a restaurant in Gudauri on Saturday.

Police said that according to initial findings, there were no signs of violence on the dead bodies and the incident appeared to be an accident.

THEIR IDENTITIES HAVE NOT BEEN REVEALED YET

While an investigation has been launched into the incident, which is thought to have occurred as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning, the identities of the dead bodies have not yet been disclosed.

Authorities reported that a fuel-powered generator was activated after the power outage in the building on Friday.
