US HD hints at Tiktok decision today
It looks like there will be an announcement about the US’s imminent Tiktok ban today, reports the news agency Bloomberg.
The Supreme Court in Washington writes that there will be a statement at 4 pm Swedish time. What it is about is not clear, but the court has previously said that the Tiktok issue is being dealt with quickly.
A deadline for China’s Bytedance to sell Tiktok in the US expires on Sunday. Otherwise, the service is to be banned, due to security concerns surrounding the platform’s ties to China’s dictatorial regime.
Both outgoing President Joe Biden and incoming President Donald Trump have signaled that they will not immediately implement the ban. On the other hand, Tiktok has said that the popular service may still be shut down.

The fashion company Eytys has been declared bankrupt, reports Break it.
Eytys sells clothes and shoes online and in its own stores and became known for its “chunky sneakers”.
The Stockholm district court decided on bankruptcy on January 16, the site writes.
“The reason for this is that the company lacks funds to settle its debts. The company is therefore deemed to be insolvent and this is deemed not to be temporary,” writes Eytys in the bankruptcy filing according to Breakit.
