Car has overturned on the E4

The car was traveling in the northbound lane when the accident occurred and the car overturned in the southbound lane. At 2:30 p.m. in the afternoon, only one lane was open, in the northbound lane.

Earlier on Friday, at 12.30 long queues formed on the E6 at Mölndal when the road was closed after a kitchen sink. At 2 p.m. traffic was once again released.

Queuing at ferry centres

Otherwise, traffic flows for the most part, according to Bengt Olsson. The largest queue formation takes place in connection with the ferry centres, for example in Blekinge and Bohuslän.

— There are people going out into the archipelago with the road ferries. We have extra departures so that everyone can get to the islands, but there are some queues, says Bengt Olsson.

On the roads around Stenungsund, traffic is diverted from the E6 to minor roads, following a race in the area. Traffic is particularly congested there.

— There are plenty of cars driving on smaller roads and looking for the coast, but it’s not a disaster.

Heavy traffic in Roslagen and Dalarna

Other areas where traffic is heavy are Roslagen, Värmdö and on the roads around Siljan in Dalarna.

— This is also the case on the roads on the Öland side and on the Öland bridge, and on the roads along the west coast. It is usually on the smaller roads that there can be a queue now and then.

Bengt Olsson advises road users to “like the situation and follow the traffic rhythm”.

— If the tiniest little thing rolls, it rolls, and then it usually works out. Nor does it usually have such a big impact in terms of time.
