Several vehicles have been set on fire in the Gamlegården district in Kristianstad. In connection with the rescue service’s work, the staff were fired upon with fireworks.
– Three cars were on fire when we arrived at the scene and a fourth has damage from the heat. No one should be injured, says police spokesperson Rickard Lundqvist.
A report of vandalism and also blue light sabotage has been drawn up, but the police have not made any arrests.
– There is camera surveillance at the site which we hope will be able to identify who started the fires and fired missiles at the police and rescue service personnel, says Rickard Lundqvist.
The alarm about the incident came at 10 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.
