The emergency services stated that it was a single accident and that no one was injured. In the direction of Strängnäs, both lanes were closed as the emergency services had to move the car away as it was in the overtaking lane.
– We think the car skidded due to the slip, but we have not been able to confirm that, said Patrick Johansson, duty officer at Södertörn’s fire brigade earlier in the day.
The forecast was set for 17.00 according to the Swedish Transport Administration, but the emergency services were ready earlier than that.
“Can be icy”
Another accident also occurred during the afternoon, this time on the E4 west of Nyköping. A car had driven into the center guardrail and remained standing on the road. The alarm came in shortly after 3:30 p.m., and no one is said to have been injured here either.
– One can suspect that it could be icy here too, says Patrick Johansson.
