Captain America is fighting a nasty enemy in the new Marvel film-but it is not a classic villain

Almost 2 weeks ago, Captain America: Brave New World The fourth film for the eponymous superhero appeared. In the film, however, he not only fights against classic villains, but also against completely different problems.

What has been criticized so far? Previously, Captain America: Brave New World was criticized for his quality deficiencies. According to the community, the film is more like a cheap television production. In particular, the special effects would make too little and look worse than in comparable productions.

The action sequences were also particularly criticized, especially the combat choreographies. They are too slow and boring. But Sam Wilson, as a new Captain America, is also somehow unbelievable, which even his state -of -the -art equipment could not weigh up.

In the last part, further criticism also plays that is now loud. Because in addition to the points mentioned, the new Captain apparently not only fights against villains, but also against adult gaps in action.

Of failed brain washes and ignored events

What plotholes does Captain America: Brave New World? As Gamerant collected, there are 3 large gaps in action that make the film unbelievable. On the one hand, the leader’s plan with the brain washing is there. This seems dangerous and ingenious at first. The idea of manipulating heroes with the help of light signals and music has something threatening. But the further the action progresses, the more questions this plan raise.

It remains unclear, for example, how the leader reached his victims, how brainwashing worked and why he did not influence Captain America or President Ross. A single casual comment from Ross – that the leader can “chop into files, so why not manipulate people?” – serve as a poor explanation. In view of the central role of this plan, a more detailed explanation would have been desirable.

Another point is that Captain America: Brave New World completely ignores the revelations and events from the Secret Invasion series.

Especially since Ross is now replacing a president who turned out to be a skull after the Skrull Infiltration was unveiled in the series, it is unbelievable that no measures are taken. One of the biggest revelations in MCU history would simply have passed here as if it had never been taking place.

A third point is that bad news spread in a strange way in the film.

One example is the attack on Isaiah Bradley through the brain -washed trailers of the leader. Although Sam and Joaquin have already been released by President Ross, Joaquin immediately receives a warning about the events in the raft – but who he received from it remains unclear. Why Sam learns about it, even before the president knows, is a mystery. Ross seems to be informed much later.

It is even absurd when the leader stands and suddenly all media seem to know about his manifesto against Ross. While Ross is currently giving a press conference, he is already faced with the revelations – as if the news had gone around the world in seconds.

These and similar quality gaps apparently mean that the new Marvel film obtained rather average reviews. He only gets a score of 49 %on Rotten Tomatoes, the audience rates him 79 %. The film receives a rating of 6.1 out of 10 stars on IMDB.

The acting performance of Harrison Ford is usually particularly highlighted. He recently announced in his known species what Marvel had to do so that he plays the Red Hulk: “It is not a magic, it is commerce” – Harrison Ford explains how Marvel brought him to play Red Hulk
