Capcom quietly added Denuvo to Street Fighter 6

Denuvo DRM, a controversial software in PC gaming, was quietly added to the recently released Street Fighter.

The Steam page was quietly updated with Denuvo Anti-Tamper software on May 30, three days before the game’s release. Street Fighter 6, which has been available for pre-order on Steam for a while, was released on June 1.

Capcom Adds Denuvo to Street Fighter 6

Developed to protect against game hacking and hacking, Denuvo has been included in many Capcom games such as Monster Hunter Rise and Resident Evil 4. But the good news here is that Capcom has removed Denuvo from their old game.

For example, games like Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil 3 Remake, Devil May Cry 5, and Monster Hunter World no longer include Denuvo. While Denuvo will not only identify if the user is cheating, it will likely include measures such as “limit of logins on no more than 5 different PCs in a day”. As you can understand, this precaution is taken to prevent account sharing.

Due to some problems with Denuvo-supported games, players naturally wonder if there will be performance problems in Street Fighter as well. Although it is not yet known whether there will be performance problems in Street Fighter 6, if we look at what has been said, we can see that this is unlikely.

Capcom’s announcement that it’s including Denuvo so close to the launch of the game should probably have surprised some players as well.
