CANNES FESTIVAL 2023. Winner of two Palmes d’Or, director Ruben Östlund has been chosen to preside over the jury for the next edition of the Cannes Film Festival.
[Mis à jour le 28 février 2023 à 10h26] The 76 edition of the Cannes Film Festival is actively preparing behind the scenes. The President of the Jury has also been announced: Ruben Östlund, Swedish director, has been chosen to draw up the prize list for the event. A logical choice, since the filmmaker won two Palmes d’or, for The Square in 2017 and Without filter in 2022.
For the time being, the names of the other personalities who will make up his jury are not yet known. The 2023 Cannes Film Festival is taking place very soon. The stars will swarm on the Croisette from May 16 to 27, a fortnight generally favored by the organizers.

The Cannes Film Festival is traditionally held in the last fortnight of May, a period favored by the organizers. The 76th edition of the largest film festival in the world logically takes place from May 16 to 27, 2023. The opening ceremony will take place on May 16, before the screenings and the many climbs of the steps. It is on May 27 that we will know the names of the winners and the complete prize list.
We do not yet know the names of the films in competition for the next Cannes Film Festival. Generally, the announcement is made just a few weeks before the event, in April. For now, the date of the press conference which traditionally announces the official selection of the Cannes Film Festival, has not been revealed.
