A new variant of cannabis is sold openly in Swedish candy and tobacco shops, TV4 Nyheterna reports.
The products contain hexahydro-cannabinol (HHC), a substance similar to the cannabis substance THC.
It concerns both electronic cigarettes, so-called vapes, and small sweets with HHC with flavors such as banana or cotton candy. They are also sold online.
Customs has had 29 cases with HHC this year, to be compared with ten in the whole of 2022. The Public Health Agency is investigating whether the substance should be classified as a narcotic.
