The harbor party of the Åland merchants began simply. With a tent where they sold boiled sausage and only an accordion-playing musician.
Now the schedule has grown properly and according to Thomas Nilsson there is something for everyone who chooses to visit.
– We come up with activities that you don’t find at other major events. An example is our crab race where kids fish for crabs, whoever catches the most wins a prize. he says.
Towards the evening, this year’s edition of the harbor party ends, with visitors also being treated to live music from local musical acts.
