The candy company Candy People is recalling several types of S brands, as there may be wood chips in the pieces of candy. The recall applies to products with a best before date until September 2026.
“Our products have been manufactured using traditional methods since the 1960s, including the use of wooden troughs when casting. We have identified some batches where small wood particles/wood chips may be present, a side effect of this traditional manufacturing method,” Candy People writes on its homepage.
Wood chips have been found in S brands, which are now being recalled.
