Farmer Manfred from Bavaria has been on cloud nine since the arrival of his lady-in-waiting Susanne. From the first meeting it is clear that he finds the slim 39-year-old attractive. Susanne doesn’t miss this either: “Manfred never misses a chance to compliment me.”
At first, Susanne enjoys the attention of the courteous farmer. Farmer is looking for a wife candidate Manfred admits his feelings
Susanne and Manfred get along very well, but is there really more? While the Bavarian farmer never missed an opportunity to shower “Susi” with compliments during the farm week, she kept a low profile. The farmer also noticed the reluctance of his beloved:
Susi is an amazing woman. I totally appreciate them. But somehow I can’t quite tell from Susi’s face what her emotional state is like.
During the hiking trip there is a big debate. The farmer finally admits to his Susi that he wants more: “I have taken you into my heart.” He would like to give the relationship a chance. But Susanne sees it differently. Even though it’s obviously difficult for her, she has to break Manfred’s heart.
Susanne speaks plainly: “No false hopes”
Susanne emphasizes that the farmer would bring everything a woman could want. Nevertheless, the spark didn’t fly for her: “I don’t want to give you false hope or make you feel feelings that just aren’t there.”
Does the lady-in-waiting give Manfred a chance? Probably not, as she confirms: “I don’t feel in love yet.” Ouch, the farmer has to cope with this bankruptcy first. In the individual interview it becomes clear that the rejection really affects him.
In the individual interview, Susanne appears affected. Through tears she reveals that she never wanted to hurt Manfred. The two say goodbye with a conciliatory hug, then the farm week is over.
