It’s almost time: The grand finale of Battle of the Reality Stars is just around the corner. Shortly before the finish line, the pressure is increasing immeasurably – no wonder that the remaining candidates are giving everything to win. Candidate Christoph Oberheide (known from Cologne 50667) is trying so hard in the semi-finals that that he collapses from complete exhaustionEven the broadcaster has to intervene.

In the semi-finals, there is a mean game: the celebrities have to fill a cylinder with sand using a bucket. However, those who did well in a previous round of questions are allowed to drill a hole in their fellow contestants’ buckets. This causes the sand to trickle down endlessly – the task becomes a grueling Sisyphean task.
Candidate Christoph soon finds out how exhausting the game really is. The 35-year-old actor’s vision goes black and then he collapses. Some teammates continue to concentrate on the game while others rush to help.
The production recognizes the seriousness of the situation and intervenes. The narrator speaks from off-screen:
“Unfortunately, it really affected Christoph. That was not the point. We’re stopping the game to take care of him first.”
The candidate has to abandon the game and is visibly upset about his defeat. Nevertheless, he can still hope to win: his fellow contestants did not vote him out of the show, so he is in the final.
