Canceled the trip due to the extreme heat in Italy

The heat wave continues in Europe and new record temperatures are expected next week. In Italy, where Saga Wingquist and her boyfriend were, red alerts have been issued in some cities. Including Rome, Florence and Bologna.

Saga and her boyfriend, who were missing the train, therefore decided to go home a week earlier than planned.

– We had to put wet towels on us when we were going to sleep to keep us cold, says Saga.

Flocked around water faucets

It wasn’t just Saga and her boyfriend who suffered from the heat wave. Legend has it that people flocked around water faucets and that many tried to escape to stores that had air conditioning.

How does it feel to be in Sweden now?

– It feels good in a way, but at the same time you would have liked to have that extra week as well, she says.
