After working as a producer on BoJack Horseman, Lisa Hanawalt created her own animated series for Netflix, Tuca and Bertie. After the first season, 2019 was over again and the series was cancelled. TV network Adult Swim came to the rescue and took over Tuca and Bertie to give the production two more seasons. But now the series is over.

As reported by Uproxx, Adult Swim has the animated series Canceled again after 3 seasons. Lisa Hanawalt also shared this in a statement on Twitter:

The creator writes that she always still have some sort of ending in mind for their series and hopes to be able to realize it one day. Since Tuca and Bertie have been rescued before, the animated insider tip may have a chance to return.
Tuca and Bertie tells the story of two 30-year-old bird women who live in different apartments in the same building. In addition to weird dialogues, the series revolves around many Everyday problems and life crises, which both characters want to overcome together. You can still stream Season 1 on Netflix with a subscription.
