Canadas surprise selection the USA left the goal scare behind

Canada unexpectedly selected 22-year-old Seth Jarvis for their team. The United States, on the other hand, left Cole Caufield out of the team.

The pre-favorites of the NHL four-nation tournament, the United States and Canada, announced their teams on the night between Wednesday and Thursday.

In the summer, Canada had already chosen NHL superstars for its team, among other things Connor McDavid’s and by Nathan MacKinnon and defender Cale Makarin. The solver’s cloak is also placed on a fresh selection by Sam Reinhart harteille, who leads the NHL’s scoring market.

The biggest surprise of the Canadian team is the 22-year-old from Carolina Seth Jarvis. The striker, who is playing a good season, didn’t fit in his country’s youth World Cup team four years ago, but now he is struggling to participate in the top tournament.

Instead, Chicago’s super talent Connor Bedard didn’t fit into the team. The second summer’s number one reservation has already shown his offensive skills in the NHL, but there is still plenty of room for improvement in his defensive game.

Caufield, Thompson and Kane out

The US team is already targeted in the summer selections, among other things Austin Matthews and Jack Eichel. New Jersey Devils joins the team as the newest star Jack Hughes.

Perhaps the hardest decision for the USA was to leave this season’s best scorer Cole Caufield to the beach. Also Tage Thompson couldn’t fit in, but for example Brock Nelson made it to the team. A star player who had a long career in the NHL couldn’t fit in the star cream either Patrick Kane.

For the goal, the United States has set quality. Winnipeg, who played the top season, are included Connor Hellebuyck and Dallas Jake Oettinger.
